A platform that tells you exactly what it is.
DematOpen helps first-time Indian investors open a Demat and trading account with Upstox, a SEBI-regulated broker, and explains how the market works before and after they do. This page is the unfiltered version: the registration, how the site earns, and the rules it refuses to break.
The registration

The AP model, without jargon
An Authorized Person is an entity the broker authorises to facilitate account opening and related services. DematOpen does not hold your money, does not hold your shares and does not execute your orders. Upstox does all three, under its SEBI registrations. The account you open is an Upstox account, governed by Upstox’s terms and SEBI’s rules.
How DematOpen earns
When an account opens through this site, DematOpen receives a commission or share of brokerage from Upstox under the AP arrangement. You pay nothing extra: the charges you meet are Upstox’s published charges, exactly as printed on its pricing page. The site earns from the relationship, not from hidden fees, and every page that compares brokers says so out loud.
The rules this site works under
Four commitments, applied to every page, checked on every review.
Every figure links to its source
Fee tables, comparisons and calculators cite the broker pricing pages they were read from, with the date of the check. When a rate changes, the page says so and the date moves.
No advice, ever
This site explains how accounts, orders, charges and settlement work. It never tells anyone what to buy, when to buy or how much to invest. Those decisions belong to the reader alone.
No invented urgency or social proof
You will not find fabricated testimonials, made-up ratings, fake counters or “join this week” banners here. If a number appears, it has a source; if a claim appears, it can be checked.
The partnership is printed, not whispered
DematOpen is an Authorized Person of Upstox. That relationship is on this page, in the footer of every page, and inside every comparison, because a hidden incentive is the only kind that compounds.
The content process
How a page gets published and what happens to it after.
Step 1
Write from primary sources
SEBI circulars, exchange rules, depository notices and broker pricing pages. Secondary blogs are not sources.
Step 2
Check the numbers live
Fee figures are re-read from the broker’s own pages and the check date is printed on the page.
Step 3
Review for compliance
No return promises, no recommendations, no unqualified superlatives, and the risk disclaimer on every page.
Step 4
Refresh on a schedule
Pricing pages get a quarterly re-check; every page carries its last-updated date so staleness is visible.
What this site is not
Not an adviser, not a research analyst, not a portfolio manager
DematOpen provides no investment advice, recommendations or portfolio management services. It explains mechanics: how accounts open, what charges mean, how settlement works. Any decision about your money is yours, made after reading the scheme and risk documents, and this site will say that on every page rather than once in the footer.
